The Fifth Center: The Throat Chakra

The Broadcast of Truth

“WHAT GIVES US VOICE IS THE WILLINGNESS TO STAND IN THE RAW EXPOSURE OF OUR OWN HUMANITY, DISMANTLE THE HONEST EXPERIMENTS WE HAVE BUILT FOR SURVIVAL, AND SPEAK THE TRUTH REGARDLESS OF THE COST.”

Bridge the Gap is a real-world practice of authentic expression, an ongoing experiment in what happens when we lay down our defenses, step into the arena of honest dialogue, and allow the truth of our lived experiences to naturally emerge.

Mark Martin and David Moore co-hosts of Bridge the Gap podcast
“TO SPEAK THE TRUTH IS NOT MERELY TO UTTER WORDS, BUT TO LAY DOWN THE ARMOR OF NATURALISTIC OBSERVATION AND ALLOW THE RESONANCE OF WHO WE REALLY ARE TO FINALLY BE HEARD.”

The Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) represents the gateway of authentic communication, vocal resonance, and creative expression, acting as the essential bridge that translates our deepest inner truths into outer reality.

FACILITATION, CONNECTION & TABOO CONVERSATIONS

Bridge the Gap originally launched in 2019 as a series of raw, unscripted conversations. For years, these archives sat in the dark, unavailable to the public. Beginning in 2026, these historic recordings are being meticulously restored, preserved, and reintroduced.

The project was never designed to chase passing headlines, react to modern algorithms, or feed the outrage of the day. It was created to explore the permanent things, the quiet, enduring human experiences that continue to shape who we are long after the noise of the world fades.

Co-hosts David Moore and Mark Martin came from completely different worlds. David knew addiction and recovery through lived experience, while Mark came from a background of business and leadership, seeking to understand struggles he had never personally faced.

The conversations revealed a simple truth: people don't heal by being judged, they heal by being understood. It became a space for honest dialogues about trauma, relationships, leadership, and the raw human experiences most avoid discussing.

Not to persuade. Not to debate. But to listen.

Every conversation asks the same question: What becomes possible when we stop trying to fix people and simply seek to understand them?

Adam Martin - Dedicated Memorial Portrait
Featured Conversation

Some conversations become part of who we are

Several years before the Bridge the Gap podcast began, Adam, the former husband of Mark's wife at the time, came to live under Mark's roof during the final chapter of his terminal illness. What could have been defined by division instead became a remarkable story of forgiveness, compassion, and shared humanity.

When Bridge the Gap launched in 2019, Adam became one of its most memorable featured guests. Sitting beside Mark and Dave behind the microphones, he spoke with uncommon honesty about addiction, recovery, regret, redemption, family, and the reality of facing mortality. His willingness to speak without pretense transformed deeply personal struggles into conversations that offered hope, understanding, and healing for others.

Those recordings helped shape the heart of Bridge the Gap.

Adam passed away in 2021, but his voice continues to carry forward through these conversations, leaving behind a legacy of authenticity, grace, and brotherhood.

The Chemistry of Time

2019 - 2024

Time changes our faces, our circumstances, and even our perspectives. But the thread remains.

These two photographs, captured five years apart, mark more than just the passing of seasons; they document the evolution of a friendship forged in dialogue. True communication does not demand total agreement, nor does it require us to stay frozen in who we used to be. It demands that we stay at the table. While our ideas may evolve, the bridge built between us remains standing.
